The concept of the Goddess as being threefold spans many traditions, includng the Greeks,
Romans, Norse, Celtic and Hindu.  These perceptions shared associations with the moon phases, with the growing
seasons and  the phases of a woman’s life; here portrayed in the tree as Maiden, Mother and Crone.
