Sisters of the past
you beckon to me
from the ruins
One says "Find the present."
One, "Preserve the past."
and the other
"Search for where you belong,
to whom you owe allegiance."
Sisters of Cyprus
with long sculptured faces,
you speak from the ages,
but of truths, surely
